Miss Dior Cherie ad

Image: Fashionologie

Every time I see this ad I am immediately transported back to my summer spent in Paris. From the song to the set it's just quintessentially my summer in Paris. Every piece reminds me of it, even the girl floating with the balloons cause my whole trip I felt like her; light, free, and impossibly happy.  And the overall tone reminds of every funny French commercial I saw over there. It's just magical...

Academy Award favs

I know my coverage of the Oscars is late but I was in Puerto Rico last week and let's face it, Puerto Rico trumps the Oscars in my book. However there were some really great dresses, much better than the other awards so far.

Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab

I love the muted tones and almost Monet-ish quality of the gown. The bust also has an interesting woven quality. I would totally wear this dress.

Maggie Gyllenhaal in Dries Van Noten.

I see this as somewhat amped up version of the Elie Saab dress. I absolutely love the colors, the blue is just stunning and Maggie's pink lips just sets off the whole look.

Diane Kruger in Chanel

She knows how to carry off a fashion forward dress which is partly why I love it. It just looks so luscious, I want to touch it. I also love that its cream not white, it makes such a difference.

Kristen Stewart in Monique Lhuillier.

I usually hate Kristen Stewart, from her attitude to fashion sense I just usually dislike her. Here she got it right though, she looks pretty but also edgy. The color is what does it for me, this blue is on point.

Seems like this was a blue year huh?

It's so...me.

I couldn't not get it. If this shirt was made specifically for anyone it was most surely me, cause lets face it, I did leave my heart in Paris.

Hopefully it gets here fast!

Lovelocks on the Seine

I have never heard about this until just a few minutes ago. Now that I know about it, I so badly want to be a part of it.

Started in the 80's people around the world have been putting padlocks on bridges and such engraved with their initials and their love's initial. After locking the padlock the key is then as in Paris thrown into the river, thus forever locking their love. <3

I love this idea, and although its somewhat saccharin, its still endearing and I can just imagine the couples along the Seine. I want to be a part of them. There is even a flickr group full of pictures about Paris love locks

Enjoy the loveiness,
Amanda
