My New York Weekend

Zach and I celebrated his birthday this weekend in NYC and had a wonderful time. We stayed Saturday night in the city and in two days we got to do so much it was unbelievable.  Saturday we went to both FAO Schwartz and the NBC Store. Zach got some birthday gifts and I even got myself this adorable white elephant stuffed animal. Its so soft.  Then we walked up to MOMA for the Marina Abramovic retrospective. I was seriously entranced by her work, seeing performance art was just amazing, I couldn't take my eyes away. Dinner was delicious, we went down to Chelsea to our favorite pizza place and omg it was even better than I remembered it. Service was great and their espresso was perfect. We walked through Bryant Park back to our hotel from dinner and the city was so gorgeous.

Later that night we went down to Greenwich Village to this pub my friend recommended, Peculiar, and we had such a good time. They have hundreds of beers and their food is great too. Perfect bar food. Pretty good crowd too, everyone was pretty chill wayy better than State College crowds. Oh yeah and our hotel was great too. Terrific price and the hotel was clean and pretty quiet for NYC of course. The room was tiny but I wasn't planning on spending a lot of time there anyways. They even had this old elevator that someone had to control, it was great.

Sunday we got up (a little late since I had a bit too much at the Pub) and got lunch at Les Halles, Anthony Bourdain's restaurant which was right around the corner from out hotel. Even better it was a French brasserie! I got the Croque Madame which was delicious, yummm. Then we walked around the Garment district and I got to stop at M & J Trimmings which is about the best craft store in the world. So organized and they seriously had the best stuff, ribbons, trim, beads, EVERYTHING. I got these gorgeous rosettes which are made of floral ribbon and a really cute zipper rose, and some other craft supplies. Then we stopped at this bead store and found super pretty beads and even a bead that looks like my pap! haha I cant wait to mail it to him. The owners even complimented me on my DIY-ed Anthropologie necklace :) Finally we taxi'ed it down to SOHO for some shopping. I got this great satin dress from some random shop and snagged a great classic trench from Esprit for half off! Zach even haggled for a new belt buckle!

I know this post was long but I just had to prove how much we got to do and how awesome our trip was. Love NYC!

My Longchamp bag...Finally

After much searching and telephone calls my Longchamp bag finally arrived today. I have been searching for this bag since February. First I was told by Longchamp that it would arrive from France around the end of March and after weeks of calling and no info I gave up and started looking at the department stores. Then no store had the navy until finally last week Bloomingdale's had it in stock, I ordered it in seconds. Now my search has ended and I'm the lovely owner of this beauty.

I love it, so comfortable to carry and lightweight its seriously the perfect everyday tote. Plus the Eiffel Tower doesn't hurt either. I just love that its tipped over so unique!

Puerto Rico!

For the first time in four years I Spring Break-ed and it was fabulous. Zach and I went to Puerto Rico for a week and I never wanted to leave. We were steps from the beach, our hotel was wonderful, and everyone was pretty friendly. We got to do exactly what we wanted-NOTHING! All we did was relax on the beach and play in the pool all week, it was fantastic.

Here are a few pictures to make you jealous!
