Santana's Pink bow headband- A Glee DIY

Now that the Cheerios on Glee are wearing regular clothes I have oodles of new outfits and accessories to love. My recent favorite was Santana's headband that she wore in "Comeback" I love that its a cute girly bow, but it's not a typical bow.  I also really love Rachel's teal dress she's wearing in this cap but unfortunately its out of stock-boo.

Also it's a really easy DIY- a big perk in my opinion. It doesn't take alot of supplies, none of the supplies are expensive and its only about a 30 min DIY.  I already had the glue and scissors so I only bought the ribbon and headband. The ribbon and headband was 2.97 total and I still have 2 extra headbands and probably 9 yards of ribbon left over. So I guess it was probably less than $1.00 to make.

Supplies

Baby pink 3/8 inch satin ribbon
Matching satin headband- I found mine at the dollar store in a three pack for only a $1.00
Tacky Glue
Scissors
Also a small clip to hold the pieces in place while they are drying

Directions

 Begin by making the large bottom loops. It doesn't have an exact measurement it's really all based on personal choice. Just fold the ribbon in a figure 8 shape and glue. Make sure the loops curve outward-not inward. You only need a tiny bit of glue-if you use too much it will goop all over the place. You really don't have to worry about where the ribbons overlap because they will be covered by the bow centers when it's glued to the headband.

After that move on and make the smaller loops. Again this based on personal choice-I made mine about half the size of the larger loops. Glue.

As those two loops are drying, tie a double knot in the ribbon. Don't tie the knot too tight because the whole point is to have a large center once the bows are attached to the headband.

Once the loops are done drying you can begin attaching them to the headband. I used an alligator clip to hold the bow to the headband while the glue was drying. After they are both attached take the center knot, wrap it around the middle and glue underneath. Clip it together until the glue is dry and then voila! the adorable headband is complete.
