DIY Memory Tray

This DIY is years old, although now is the first time I'm actually writing out the tutorial. I don't have many pictures of the process because I made it so long ago but the process is so easy you won't need many photos.

Supplies-
Large wood frame with thick sides
Assorted mementos to put inside the frame
Decorative drawer pull handles
Small scrapbooking stickers
Piece of posterboard cut to fit within the frame

First I had my boyfriend attach the handles to the top of the frame. I chose to put mine on the top of the frame but you could also place them on the sides. I measured out the middle and had him carefully drill the handles in. This was tricky because you have to make sure you don't split the frame. Taking this step slowly and carefully really helped to ensure we didn't ruin the frame.

Once the handles were attached I went ahead and created my insert using the poster board. This doesn't really require any directions because it's based entirely on personal preference.  Using the photo squares made things so easy and it also prevents the mementos from being ruined so you could eventually switch things out if you wanted to.

After you finish your insert, just slip it into the frame and put the original backing into the frame.

Voila!

I absolutely hate when my souvenirs and memories are stored away in boxes. So I always jump on ideas when I get to use them instead of storing them. This idea is relatively quick and really fun.

xoxo,
Amanda
